UPCYCLING

At Baby♡K, we aim to reduce our impact on the planet by ensuring that no resource is wasted. With linen, a little goes a long way. The fabric is strong, durable and can be reused or recycled multiple times. Our Love Earth initiative, THIS x THAT, encourages customers to bring back their old Baby♡K garments in exchange for a voucher of ₹1000. We reuse the linen from these garments to make accessories, bags and little giveaways.

We also upgrade, alter or repair any of our old garments at no extra cost that our customers bring to us. We print over plain garments to give them a refreshed look, or fix overdyed garments in unique ways.

PLANET-FRIENDLY LINEN

Linen is an eco-friendly fabric derived from the flax plant. The flax plant is highly resilient and can grow naturally with less water and pesticides. It is gentle on the land and easy to incorporate into modern crop rotation cycles, preventing soil depletion.

The industrial processes of spinning and weaving linen have little to no impact on the environment. Its the very nature of linen that makes the fabric breathable, soft on the skin and hypoallergenic.

SOCIAL SUSTAINABILITY

“Social sustainability is about identifying and managing business impacts, both positive and negative, on people. The quality of a company’s relationships and engagement with its stakeholders is critical. Directly or indirectly, companies affect what happens to employees, workers in the value chain, customers and local communities, and it is important to manage impacts proactively.”
– UN Global Compact

Social sustainability is beyong materials and designs. It is about identifying and managing the impact on people that work with us at Baby♡K.

We take all the necessary measures to be transparent of our production process throughout the supply chain.
